It's a shame about the other getting closed, but that's typical of game companies, they don't allow free speech in their forums. Truth is painful, it forces those in charge to acknowledge where they have flawed.
Outspark needs to decide, do they want to be a game that hosts ad space for other real MMO's, or do they actually want to be a powerhouse in the MMO field? Right now, they're beginning to look more like an outhouse. When I first started playing I was telling everybody I knew to play Fiesta. I loved the support, the events, the GM's, the constant communication, so many things that made Outspark very happy in my little feelers. I got many MANY people to join, we partied, grinded (ground?), got our spouses to play, etc. Now, these many, many months later, I am 1 of 3 that has stayed, and all have stopped for the same reason; we're sick of Outspark not caring about us anymore. I was recently "warned" through an email about something that never even happened, and when I replied explaining what was said, the reply came back, nose up in the air, "we've investigated this," etc., etc. Well, since I can't prove something I didn't know I was being setup for, I got "in trouble" for absolutely nothing. Great customer service, fantastic way of treating a paying customer who has brought you literally THOUSANDS of dollars. But I let it go, mistakes happen, but there is still all the times when people call me any number of various racial slurs who I report WITH SCREENSHOTS and never get banned. This is disgusting on behalf of Outspark, that your game censors words like Jew, Jesus, ****, Hitler, even the word crap, and yet you let foul mouthed racist jerks run around saying ignorant, hateful stuff like that? That's absolutely ridiculous, Outspark, and unsettling. The game has become fraught with bugs and glitches to the point that every week I am surprised if you bother to fix one, and still expect each patch to bring another one. They don't care, and all they want is money. The running bug caused by AoE's ... that has never been fixed, and I've been here since the start of open beta. How hard is it to tell your character to NOT run without a key being pressed? It's not. Has anyone else also noticed that every single bug and glitch in the game has been recycled? Not only just used again, but even in the same order as before. Put this together, and here's what I see: maintenance who wants to ensure they keep their job, because if they truly fix the problems then the need for them declines. They have the script saved on a flash drive with a date, and they just pop back in old "bugs" when they need to fill their schedule a bit. Additionally, some of the problems people have complained about over the many months have been wholly ignored by management or customer service, which is a big no-no in my book. The worse part however is that a handful of times when the replies have come, they've been lies, and I don't mean I assume they're lying because I'm angry, I mean I know what computers and game engines are *not* capable of doing, and when they tell the players they can't do something because of (insert excuse here) it's more often because it's easier to sound like you're trying to help than to say you won't. The low number of employees is evidence of this; when you've got that few amount of employees, AND you're still trying to bring out new games, everyone is stretched thin, and to the people in charge, time is money, and as long as the money pours into the shops, they don't care about the gameplay, so long as they can push the new games and meet deadlines. I understand they're a business, a business is in the business of making money, regardless of products. But a little history and common sense tells us that they'd be more successful making quality products that have limited errors, great report with it's customers, and a strong link to it's players (which without the game wouldn't exist...) instead of a lot of games that are fringing on being incomplete forever or have very little appeal to the majority of MMO players (Blackshot, Dance) or are beginning to digress in support so badly that people like me are writing bad reviews about them. So Outspark, maybe you should stop stretching yourself out over so many titles that you can't keep up with what you have already produced. There's no point in having multiple games available when people hear your name and cringe. |

Wow. I have mixed feelings about this so I'm not going to say much for the most part, though I will admit I'm curious as to the feedback you'll get. I have a feeling the response would be "send a ticket" (again) or "this isn't the right place for this topic [general discussion?]"
The only things I will comment on... I would recommend separating the sections about the bugs/glitches from your view on the company/employment/customer service only because of the differing of power between what OS is capable of and what OOS has power over. And lastly...I don't care if Blackshot ever gets released but DGO is quite popular and I think it has potential to be a money maker so...um...that would be worth it for them to undertake. I understand the annoyance between making all these games and certain things within the others not getting fixed yet but if they have to rely on OOS they may as well go about working on a game they could actually have more control over (like DGO). That's all. Hope you get your official reply. ![]()

However. I am a perm Fiesta player. I was anticipating playing Blackshot just because it would be the first MMOFPS that isn't just log-in-and-kill. I was also enjoying knowing that all the games share Sparkcash, so I wouldn't have to buy different "online money" if you will, or pay a fee, etc. That's been put on hiatus. So then to break up the pace of Fiesta I was considering playing one of their other ones, (I'm generally a 1 game only player) like BnB or Solstice. What stopped me? Seeing the direction Fiesta was taking. About March of last year I was deciding whether or not to try out another game, and the plan was to see if Fiesta pulled out of it's slump first, I listened to what I know by the PLAYERS forum and in-game discussion are big problems and waited to see if anything was done about them, commenting on many of them myself, sometimes very politely, sometimes with anger, sometimes in PM's with GM's, sometimes directly to CSRs, etc. In short, I haven't installed any other Outspark game. I'm not interested until I see the players taken care of better through better maintenance in their games and support of their players. On the issue of fixing things though, let me point out a specific thank you for finally fixing the Guild Storage "too many users" problem. I noticed you made the Guild Manager window disappear after you walk too far away, and I know that's why it always appeared full; people were leaving it open to throw open guild storage whenever they felt like it. It was a huge problem affecting thousands of players, so thank you. Let's just hope this one doesn't reappear in a few months again as well. Now, if all of this is out of the hands of Outspark themselves, that's okay, but then they need to take the initiative and pass along the problems and the players issues to whoever the appropriate person or group would be, and let them know that these are not minor issues from a few people; when I see the same threads over so many months talking about the same problems over and over ... there's an obvious continuation of the same. And being here since open beta, I also have seen the same for myself, so the experience agrees with the hearsay. |

Fiesta is the only game I play as well (until DGO, then I will play both) mainly for the fact of having already invested a ridiculously large amount of money that could have paid nearly a year's tuition >.<. But anyway I frequent the forums as well and still log on once every few or so days so I'm aware of plenty of game problems.

And just onnnne tiny pet peeve is "closed beta/open beta" thing. People who have been playing the game over a year can notice problems with fiesta just as well as someone who has been around for longer than that.

@ OP.
OS won't take this seriously. They'll just close it. That's obvious. I agree on the part about how the Customer Support in this game is absolutely horrible. They just don't seem to take part in the community anymore, not like Steam, Dakkon or SnakeEyes. We need more GM's like that, for people to communicate with in game, so they can listen to us and respond straight away. Because a lot of the time, all we want is a little feedback... And sometimes a chest spawn. >.>" Lmao. Nah, but seriously, those days are over. And tbh, I don't think they're coming back. That's why I cbf'd playing Fiesta anymore. I'll go find another MMORPG to play, and hope it ends up better than Fiesta did. The thing that I don't agree on however, is about the bugs and glitches and such. OOS fixes the bugs and sort, not Outspark. So Outspark can't really get held accountable for it. It would be nice if OS had their own team of people to break down the patch and fix up all the glitches, but yet again, they're a business, and a business of few staff. So I don't think they can. But yeah, it would be good. And @ ras... You've been here for a while now. You should know that it used to be WAY better than it is now. Don't stick up for them when you know that the Customer Support fails at Outspark nowadays.
