Stats Guide

1. Strength to Dex 3:1 until level 60 (example 36 strength:12 dex)
2. Spirit to 25 once level 60
3. Buy Endurance, Dex, and Strength Armor
4. Use 2 mini dragon rings
5. Use xbow for aoe, bow for solo-ing
6. Always use Evasion and Shield scrolls

I was able to tank at least 5 blue trumpy at level 55 without using hp extender. It does not seem like much but for level 55 and all +0 armor it was pretty good. By level 65 with hp extender, I was able to tank the whole map of red trumpy and at least 10 blue trumpy. All my armor was +0 and I was still able to tank the whole map as an archer!

I recommend using both bow and xbow so buy the passive skills to upgrade. My xbow was 50+9 with +20 endurance and +19 strength. My bow was 50+8 with 20 dex 18 int. (there is a lot of better xbows out there that you can buy and upgrade with over 20 dex, 20 strength, and 20 endurance so be patient and look before upgrading!)

I also recommend buying blue trumpy license once you upgrade your bow or xbow to +9. It's best at lower levels since you will be there for long periods of time.This will also help in the duo process later on. I think your wasting time by training in a spot without a license as an archer cause most of the time you will not have a party and need to solo. Blue trumpy licenses are not very rare and can be bought for about 50 silver as a repeatable quest at level 70+ gives for free.

As for skills. Empower the cool down of natures mist aoe poison all the way so you can cast every 21 seconds. Do not touch multishot aoe, keep it at 30 seconds cool down. I'd say put 1 stat empowerment point into every skill to increase damage, you will be surprised how much 1 point can add on to the damage.

Most of my armor has only 1 or 2 stats on the equipment. My hat has +28 endurance only. My boots +26 endurance and +18 intelligence. My chest is +20 strength and +15 intelligence. And my legs is +26 endurance only. SO if you follow this guide and try to find armor with at least dex and endurance or strength and endurance in each piece, you will be able to tank fairly well. And if you decide to upgrade your armor to +9, you will be a tanking god and able to tank ancient stonies or cp2 areas with ease.

Dexterity works well even though statistics show it does not do much. It has saved me lots of times.

Remember that strength will add bonus damage on top of your normal hit. A person who has 0 strength compared to a person with 40 strength is a difference of 48 damage each hit!

Example of a tanking GOD and Super PVP Build

Obviously his stats are covered up. He must have very good stat +9 armor! Probably mutliple stats of 20 or higher in each piece. But as you can see, lots of defense, magic defense, evasion, aim and attack!!! EvilStar is an inspiration to any level archer. He was the first and ONLY archer to solo to level 79. Never an aoe party.

I hope this post provides some light onto being an archer. I know it will be a struggle, but have some fun and try to make the best of your character.

Or try to do what I did. Invite 1 cleric over level 55 and then invite 3 mages. So now you will be the tank and have 3 mages as DD for a total of 4 DD and 1cleric.

Also, one other important note, Aoe poison will hold aggro as long as it hits the mobs which will make it possible for you to tank and mages to contribute without stealing aggro. Mages will at times be hit by 1 or 2 monsters but thats only if you miss aoe poison on some of the monster

I've been wondering how +str and +damage worked, and I didnt want to test it out myself. Are you positive the +damage is added bonus without having defense playing any roles in the output?

A way you can test out is by punching a monster or a player with fists.

wow you are very good i was wondering if you could help me out some of my buddies said str was useless for an archer are u accepting members for your guild i am new to this game. and thank you for the build i will be sure to use it

I can find ways to test it.. but I dont want to reset points.. or make new chars.. etc. Have you tested this?

I chose to write this guide because it does not matter if you don't have much money and cannot afford to pay for 100% no break stones in the item mall to make all your armor +9. Hopefully it provides some hope to non-item mall users alike and shows that you do not need over 700+ defense and evasion to tank a fair amount of mobs at one time.

Another tip for under 60 archers who want to tank would be find 2 clerics and add 2 mages in your party. Be the tank... Though, if you do not have teva, it may become costly since you are spamming stones, it will hopefully provide a bit of fun and enhance your gaming experience.

If you do decide to spend money on the item mall, buy an extender. As you can see my hp is over 3800 with hp extender. In my opinion, I'd rather have 3800 hp than half of that. Why? Teva is good and all but does not open up many opportunities. You will have lots less hp and it will be much more difficult to tank.

If you are unable to spend money on teva or hp extender, I would recommend having at least 2 CLERICS in your party at all times if you are the main tanker. My defense is very very low so I'd say if you used tier 2 scrolls or have over 600 defense, you will be able to tank with relative ease.

Also, I would advise you to test out your mob tolerance. When you level up, try to form a party with a couple clerics and start luring a few mobs at a time. See how many mobs you are capable of tanking at once with ease.

Tanking requires a lot of stones. Fighters are meant to be tanks but you so often see them restoning every 30 minutes or so. It can become costly, but if you enjoy having fun, it is a good alternative when no tank is around.

As for Legacy guild, it has been shut down temporarily as I have quit the game. I plan on returning when new maps are released and 60+ green armor begins dropping.
